The Cardigan lifeboat station is manned entirely by volunteers, who are ready, in all weathers, to respond to their pagers and launch the two inshore lifeboats.

There has been a lifeboat station in the Cardigan locality since 1849, providing assistance and saving lives along this treacherous stretch of coastline.
